Moving out of the Linear Into the Quantum
Into the Quantum
When we speak, we manipulate energy. Often, if not most of the time, we do so unconsciously. But if this fact enters out consciousness and we begin to use words with care, we can move the proverbial mountains.
We may think the reason that the system refers to us as persons is entirely coincidental, random. But is it?
To figure it out, looking at the word itself is a good start. The dictionary defines person as
This doesn’t tell us much, so let’s look a big further, such as the legalese meaning:
n. 1) a human being. 2) a corporation treated as having the rights and obligations of a person. Counties and cities can be treated as a person in the same manner as a corporation. However, corporations, counties and cities cannot have the emotions of humans such as malice, and therefore are not liable for punitive damages unless there is a statute authorizing the award of punitive damages.
So, if someone refers to us as person, it is not necessarily clear whether they mean the human being or the corporation.
More interestingly, let’s take a look at the origin of the word:
from Latin persona “human being, person, personage; a part in a drama, assumed character,” originally “mask, false face,” such as those of wood or clay worn by the actors in later Roman theater.
So “being” a person means we are, in all effect, a mask. Only when we identify with the mask given to us early on in life can the system in place handle us/deal with us and vice versa. But do we want to be a mask? Or would we rather be our natural selves, human beings with a profound sense of morals?
Likewise, we tend to mindlessly use the word hate. “I hate doing that,” “I hate my job,” “I hate this rainy weather,” and on and on it goes. What we tell the universe with this is that we want hate in our lives.
In exactly the same way, we attract a life being surrounded by loved ones if we let go of hate and focus on love. It’s raining? Let’s think of all the plants thriving because of the rain. The job is boring? Let’s focus on visualising exactly what kind of work we want to do or focus on learning new skills instead of getting bored. Thought creates reality, as the law of mentalism states, and the way we know to express thought, be it silent or spoken aloud, is through language. More on language in a previous post.
Once we realise that there is no coincidence, no randomness – and language is a good start because it becomes clear very quickly how it connects to our individual situations – we are likely to find all the other areas we can connect, and everything may just begin to make a whole lot more sense.
